As the Social Media & Digital Marketing Intern during the summer of 2026, I developed content that increased awareness of the foundation, promoted the annual charity golf classic, highlighted community impact, and strengthened the organization's brand identity on Instagram.

Content Example: Storytelling through Social Media
This video was created to tell the story behind the Live for 6 Foundation and connect its mission to the legacy that inspired it. I combined personal photos and video, concise on-screen messaging, pacing, and emotional storytelling to move the viewer from learning about Kanon Parkman as a person, coach, and family man to understanding the impact his legacy continues to have through the foundation. I wrote a script for the video, and I asked the founder, Blake, to record the narration for the script. This project demonstrates my ability to turn a meaningful story into engaging short-form content while maintaining a clear message, emotional connection, and purpose.

Content Example: Brand Storytelling &
Social Media Strategy
Shortly after beginning my work with the Live for 6 Foundation, I created this introductory social media presentation to help new visitors quickly understand the story, purpose, and mission behind the organization. I developed the content to tell a cohesive brand story—from the legacy that inspired Live for 6 and the meaning behind its name to the foundation’s commitment to creating opportunities for young people through sports. Because the presentation was designed to serve as an introduction for people discovering the organization on Instagram, I combined personal storytelling, photography, consistent brand elements, and concise messaging to create an emotional connection while clearly communicating what Live for 6 represents.

Content Example: Event Marketing

As part of my work with the Live for 6 Foundation, I created social media content to promote the 2nd Annual Live for 6 Charity Golf Classic and build awareness and excitement leading up to the event. I designed one-page Instagram graphics to communicate key event information, highlight sponsors and opportunities for involvement, and maintain momentum throughout the promotional campaign. Each piece was created with the foundation’s visual identity and target audience in mind, using consistent branding, concise messaging, and golf-inspired visuals to create a cohesive campaign across the organization’s social media presence.

Content Example: Sponsor Recognition & Partnership Marketing
As part of the social media campaign for the 2nd Annual Live for 6 Charity Golf Classic, I created a series of sponsor recognition posts designed to highlight and thank the organizations supporting the event. I developed a consistent golf-themed visual concept that allowed each sponsor to receive individual recognition while still feeling connected to the larger event campaign. The graphics balanced sponsor visibility with Live for 6 branding and messaging, helping communicate appreciation while reinforcing the importance of community partnerships to the foundation and its mission.
40.1K Views / 60.7% Non-Follower Views / 1,063 Interactions / 1,411 Profile Visits
Managing Live for 6's social media gave me the opportunity to see how content strategy translates into measurable audience behavior. During this 90-day period, content generated more than 40,000 views, with 60.7% coming from non-followers. This showed me the importance of creating content that can extend beyond an organization's existing audience and introduce the brand to new people.

I also learned that different content formats serve different purposes. Reels generated the largest share of views, while traditional posts accounted for nearly as many interactions despite generating fewer views. Analyzing these results helped me better understand the importance of looking beyond likes and using reach, interactions, profile activity, and audience behavior to evaluate content performance.
